About Negar Tabibian
Negar is an Iranian-American urban planner, designer, and artist with a strong passion for dance, photography, painting, and all creative forms of visual and performing arts. She has always used painting to express her emotions and feeling, though, since 2018, she has returned to painting more seriously as a medium to communicate better whatever is going on in her bubble, with the rest of the world. So in a way, her artworks, and specifically her paintings, are the surreal stories of a Middle Eastern immigrant designer woman, residing in the US.
Negar began taking photographs in her teen years and was mostly exploring urban and architectural photography as well as documenting cultural landscapes and photojournalism. She became more advanced in photography techniques over time and while she visited and documented various locations (inside Iran and around the world) and events (cultural, religious and political) events. After she moved to the US in 2009, she started exploring portrait and natural landscape photography in her portfolio.
After Negar started her studies in the field of architecture and urban design in 2003, she was introduced to Adobe programs and the galaxies of the photo, audio, and video editing. Already well-experienced in photography and drawing, she quickly utilized digital editing tools to enrich her works of art. In her digital artworks, she tries to narrate her inner self and express her understanding of her surrounding environment. In the other words, her digital art is another way for her to experiment with self-expression ideas and concepts.
